WHAT IS THE KRAWCHECK SCHOLARSHIP?
The Krawcheck Scholarship, created by Porter-Gaud Alumna Sallie Krawcheck '83, is a program that provides full scholarships and summer enrichment opportunities to students in need that have maintained high academic standing. This program is open to new students applying for grades 6-11. Currently, all three scholarships are awarded and we are not accepting new applicants. Porter-Gaud is expecting to name a new Krawcheck Scholar for the 2015-2016 School year.
STEPS TO APPLY
In years the scholarships are available, applicants must:
THE EXPECTATIONS OF A KRAWCHECK SCHOLAR
- To honor the high standards of the program, Krawcheck Scholars will be good citizens who contribute to the Porter-Gaud family and demonstrate respect for their teachers, the administration, and their fellow students.
- Krawcheck Scholars will be expected to maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for the school year.
- Krawcheck Scholars should embrace the curriculum at Porter-Gaud and pursue a personally challenging course load.
- Similarly, it is hoped that Krawcheck Scholars will actively seek opportunities to participate in extracurricular activities in the arts, athletics, community service, and/or student governance.
