Bus Service with SchoolWheels Direct

SchoolWheels Direct provides bus transportation for the 2016-17 school year for our East Cooper families.

Starting on January 4, 2017, SchoolWheels Direct will offer a second bus for those East Cooper families on the current wait list. Registration will be open exclusively to wait list families until January 9th, at which time remaining spots will be offered to other families wanting school bus transportation.

SCHOOL WHEELS DIRECT

SchoolWheels Direct bus service is a fee-based service that allows busy parents to send their students to and from school in the safety and convenience of a school bus. Parents can sign up, pay for service and manage their account from the SchoolWheels website, with the option of round-trip or one-way service on a monthly payment plan or via a one time annual payment.

2017 SCHEDULE (effective January 4, 2017)

Below are the stop locations and the estimated pick-up and drop-off times for bus service. SchoolWheels Direct utilizes the latest routing technology, and will make sure the times are adjusted, if necessary.

East Cooper Bus / Bus #1

6:35 AM Dunes West Clubhouse 4:30 PM

7:00 AM Governor's Park / Daniel Island 4:05 PM

7:15 AM NEW: Moultrie Shopping Center / Coleman Blvd.* 3:45 PM

7:40 AM Porter-Gaud School 3:30 PM


O'Quinn Bus / Bus #2

7:10 AM O'Quinn School 3:45 PM

7:40 AM Porter-Gaud School 3:30 PM


* Moultrie Shopping Center is located at 642 Coleman Blvd, Mt. Pleasant (the shopping center where Wild Wing, Steven Shell, Bottles, and Bambu are located). This stop should be convenient to Sullivan's Island and Old Village families. Click here for Stop Location

PRICING

Parents can sign up, pay for service and manage their account from the SchoolWheels website, with the option of round-trip or one-way service on a monthly payment plan or via a one time annual payment. A 30% discount is offered per additional children.

All Pay in Full options are processed at the time of purchase. Families choosing the monthly payment option will be processed on January 4th and the 1st of each of the remaining 9 payment periods.

SAFETY

In addition to seat belts, four-camera audio/video monitoring, GPS, WiFi technology on-board, SchoolWheels Direct offers SafeStop app to keep parents informed in real-time on their phones/computers about bus arrivals and departures. Student identification cards also electronically notify parents about their child(ren) getting on and off the bus.
