    Kindergarten moms had the day off for morning carpool. Today was Daddy Day. PG Dads poured into the Kindergarten classes this morning to meet with the faculty and afterward, they were treated to Coffee and Doughnuts in the cafeteria.

    Porter-Gaud Sponsors Booth at the Black Expo

    Last weekend, Porter-Gaud sponsored a booth at the 11th Annual Charleston Black Expo, held at the Charleston Convention Center. Porter-Gaud was one of over 200 companies showcasing their products and services to the Charleston African-American community. The purpose of the Black Expo is to promote economic development through increased exposure for minority-owned businesses. African-American owned businesses have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the public and procurement. It is also an opportunity for major corporations and government entities to develop viable working relationships with minority-owned businesses while marketing their products and services to growing consumer market. The Expo is also a forum to educate, enlighten and inspire the entire community and the African-American community in particular. Aside from economic development, exposure to cultural resources is a part of the focus for this event.

    First Grader Wins State Swimming Title

    First Grader Gavin Milligan recently swam in the 8 & Under State Swimming Championships in Greenville and came away with a lot of hardware! In the 6 & Under age group, he finished with two Gold Medals in the 200 yard and 100 yard Individual Medleys, two Silver Medals in the 100 yard and 200 yard free, a Bronze Medal in the 50 Yard Breaststroke, and a Fourth place finish in the 50 Yard Backstroke. Congratulations to Gavin on the hard work and success!
