The Parents Guild is here to help. Be prepared for those impromptu parties that you put off having last year! Take control of those hurried days and nights full of sports and Christmas Shopping! Enjoy easy entertaining this year. Faculty and Staff are busy too! Casseroles make great Teacher and Staff Holiday gifts. Who wouldn’t enjoy a home cooked meal that they don’t need to prepare!  Wintergreen wreath:

The balsam fir Wintergreen Wreath combines a selection of interesting Christmas elements to create a truly memorable Holiday Wintergreen decoration. The soft, green fabric bow is made with wired ribbon to hold the full arc of the bow's loops and tails. Behind the bow is a swag of glittered cedar which adds just a hint of shimmer to the wreath. Three natural Ponderosa Pine cones, laced with jingle bells, add to the natural look of the Wintergreen Wreath. Pumpkin Spice and Peppermint Mocha Lattes are popular amongst coffee houses during the holidays.  Back by populer demand, the Holiday Market will open its doors to rich coffee aromas and the overwhelmingly sucessful "Cafe Latte." The Parent's Guild, teamed with Charleston Coffee Roasters and Coburg Dairy, is adding zest and color to your shopping experience with our signature espresso latte offerings.  You are invited to sample a line-up of holiday favorites finished with a dusting of nutmeg or a touch of chocolate.   Parent volunteers, the "Latte Dah's," participated in barista training, recently.  They have mastered the art of blending a smooth espresso with mellow peppermint flavors and a hint of spice for opening day.   The campus is expected to be a buzz for specialty coffee drinks.  Join Cafe Latte in celebrating the arrival of the season!   Sip and shop with friends at the Holiday Market.  Read More...

What is a Wish List?

Every year the Porter-Gaud Parents Guild provides summer grants for our faculty to enrich and broaden their field of study.  We also provide funds to fulfill the needs presented by our teachers and administrators in the form of a "Wish List". The Wish List items provide a fuller and richer experience for the education of our children. Last year the PGPG raised over $124,000 for the benefit of all of our students resulting in the purchase of Smartboard Technology for 6 classrooms, a Laptop Cart for 4th and 5th grades, Mac computers for Fine Arts and an Exeter Table as well as many other items enhancing our educational environment.    

The Holiday Market is a key component to fully funding the Wish List.

      Santa’s Stage is a service provided by the Parents Guild to create a magical experience for children in grades 1-5 to shop and buy gifts for their friends and family. The teachers and parent volunteers will escort the children through Santa’s Stage to fill their shippong list during their school day.  The gifts are wrapped and ready for giving! Prices vary from $1 - $5 so plan to send enough money to buy gifts for all family members. 

    Please be sure to assist your child make your shopping list ahead of time so that you do not forget anyone’s gift and you bring enough money to shop. All money must be in a Ziploc bag with your child’s name written on the bag so that any misplaced money can find its way back to the appropriate shopper.   Any money that is made from this project will go to support the teachers’ wish lists at the end of the school year.
