Among Porter-Gaud's many natural resources are groups like the Parents Guild, the Fathers Association, the Alumni Association, the Development Committee, the New Parents Committee, and our Class Captains. Throughout the year, the Parents Guild hosts numerous events, fundraisers, receptions for visitors, and treat days for students, to name just a few. The Guild funds teachers’ “classroom wish lists” as well as grants for faculty study aboard. Likewise, the Fathers Association handles athletic concessions, putting their profits back into the school. The Alumni Association hosts Homecoming/Reunion in the fall and sponsors a golf tournament in the spring. The Porter Military Alumni Association hosts a Reunion in the spring and has made a number of handsome additions to our campus. Members of the Development Committee, New Parents Committee, and those who serve as Class Captains play an important role in institutional advancement. At Porter-Gaud, opportunities to volunteer are plentiful.
