NetClassroom is an online parent and student portal that allows for easy access to your child's schedule, course grades, assignments, assignment grades, attendance, and conduct. You can find it under Quicklinks or by clicking here

Every PG father (or male guardian) is automatically a member of the Fathers Association. Check out more information about that group.
- How do you become a Parents Guild member and sign up to do things? Hide
Every parent or guardian with a child at Porter-Gaud is considered a member of the Parents Guild. The volunteer form is mailed to every enrolled family before school begins, in mid August. The form is also available on the parents section of the website. In addition, before each major event, a volunteer mailing is sent home calling for volunteers. The weekly on-line Gaudeamus magazine will also put a call out for volunteers. If you are ready to volunteer now, click here
- Where can I find out what is going on at the school and who is in charge of what? Hide
The home page of the website is always current with calendar information as well as news stories about recent and upcoming happenings around campus. A paper calendar is sent out before school begins which lists all events. Additionally, a calendar and list of chair persons is also published in the directory.
- Are there special programs available to the community for “life preparedness?” Hide
The Parents Guild sponsors guest speakers to address pertinent issues from time to time. Parents will be notified by General Meeting invitation
- Of the things I’d like to do, what is the time committment? Hide
You would need to call the coordinator or chair person heading that event or committee. They would be able to give you the specifics or put you in touch with the right person. Time committment can range from minutes to months. Click for a list of all opportunities
- What is the difference between the Parents Guild and The Fathers Association? Hide
The Fathers Association is made up of fathers and their fund raising centers around athletic events. The Father’s Association runs the football concession stand, the homecoming dinner and produces the Fall football program. The Parents Guild involves all parents and organizes many activities and events, both fundraising and support related. The income generated from their efforts supports all areas of the school.
- As a new parent to the school, which events/activities would best enable me to get to know people? Hide
The Parent Connection coffees/gatherings provide a quiet time frame in a more intimate setting where you can sit and visit with other parents. Volunteering for any of the events or committees, or working a concession stand shift will help you become familiar with many parents. The more time you dedicate to volunteering the more involved and incorporated you will feel. Attending Parents Guild meetings will also help you to feel more connected and informed.
- As an Upper School parent, how can I get to know my students teachers and other parents as it is more difficult to do so with older children. Hide
Attend the Parents Guild meetings, attend a coffee, work a shift or two in the concession stand, and volunteer as much as possible. Being a team mom is another suggestion. The more you do the more likely you will get to know other parents, students and teachers. The Development Office and/or the Admissions office can also provide you with information on who the other new students and families are.
- Who is the best person to contact if I have a social issue, or otherwise, to get help/advice from? Hide
Contact your child’s advisor or the counselling department for your school. You can also contact the Parents Guild president for her advice and suggestions on how to proceed.
