BUILD COMMUNITY at PORTER-GAUD
Our annual Back To School Celebration at the first home football game. Help with set up and staffing PGPA tents. (1-3 hours/event) ​​
Works with Porter Gaud and families to dialogue about diversity issues in order to become a more inclusive community. (2-3 hours/month) ​​
PARENT RECEPTIONS AND TEACHER/MAINTENANCE APPRECIATION

Bring Food and Drinks to help support parent nights and our Teachers and Maintenance team throughout the year. Sign up monthly or as schedule allows.

Support Athletic teams through selling ads and cooking at football games. ​(1-2 hours / event) ​
1. Representatives work together to organize grade level social events for parents and families (coffees/playdates/cocktails/picnics) to build community in each grade. 2. Communicate grade events to grades. 3. Welcome New Families to Porter-Gaud. 4. Support Families and Teachers. 5. Meet quarterly as a grade team and with each Divison Head and Team – LS, MS and US (Time commitment: 3-4 hours per month) ​​​​
HOMEROOM PARENTS: Lower School will need volunteers for the homeroom parent program next year. We will put out the call for volunteers in Fall 2019.
All School Carnival with games, raffle and food. Help needed for jobs big and small. ​​
Shopping Bazaar of Stores and Crafters. Help needed for jobs big and small.​
1. Help plan and coordinate social events for families of the International Community such as the International Cooking Club 2. Work with Admissions to welcome international families 3. Annual Spring International Potluck Picnic (Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month) ​​
1. Weekly prayer sessions for parents 2. Find opportunities to bring the Porter-Gaud parents together connecting through Faith – Chapel, etc. (Time commitment: Meets Weekly or No Minimum) ​​​
All School Spring Party.​
LS Tradition to Shop for Holiday Gifts (2 hours) ​​
Work with the Admissions Team to welcome new families to Porter-Gaud. ​
PARENT EDUCATION at PORTER-GAUD
1. Plan events for Parents and the school community to learn about different parenting topics working with Dean and Counselor for each division. 2. All Division Representatives work together to plan school wide Parent Ed events (Time commitment: 1-2 hours per month) ​​
