Student Flu Vaccine Clinics

Dear Families,

Porter-Gaud will host two student flu vaccine clinics this fall. The CDC and SCDPH recommend an annual influenza (flu) vaccine for all children ages 6 months and older. As always, participation in these vaccine clinics is completely voluntary.

Onsite Flu Vaccine Clinic hosted by Parkwood Pediatric Group
Friday, October 2, 11 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Location: Middle School Conference Room

Options available: Flu Shot or FluMist (nasal spray)

Complete the consent form here. Each student must have a completed consent form to participate. Consent forms must be received by Wednesday, September 30.
- After completing the consent form, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your email address. Please be sure to click the confirmation link in the email, as this final step is required to complete and submit your consent.
Parkwood Pediatric Group will bill your child’s medical insurance. For any portion not covered by insurance, $45 will be billed to your November Smart Tuition statement. This includes the vaccine, supplies, and administration fee.
Students with a completed consent form will be called from class during the clinic timeframe to receive their vaccine. We will do our best to schedule students during lunch, advisory, or study hall to minimize missed class time.
Please be sure to indicate on the consent form whether you would like your child to receive the flu shot or FluMist (nasal spray).
Once your consent form has been received and reviewed, you will receive a confirmation email from nurse@portergaud.edu.

Friday, October 16, 11:30 a.m. - 3 p.m

Location: Middle School Conference Room

Dottie’s Pharmacy will bill your child’s insurance directly for the flu vaccine.
Consent forms and sign up information will be sent out the week of Monday, October 5, 2026.

Flu vaccines are also available through your child’s pediatrician and many local pharmacies. Annual flu vaccination is one of the best ways to help prevent influenza and reduce its spread within our school community. Vaccination can help decrease the risk and severity of illness, reduce school absences, and help protect students, families, and our community.
