Book, Technology, and Uniform Returns

Dear Porter-Gaud Families,

As we move toward the close of the school year, we encourage you to return items, including library books, technology (if necessary), Youndr pouches, and athletic uniforms according to the schedule listed below. Report cards and final transcripts will be held if items are not returned or accounts are not paid in full. Please note that small charges may be added at year end, so please monitor your accounts before heading off for the summer.

Lower School (Grades 1-4)

All students must return library books by May 28.

Middle School (Grades 5-7)

Students will keep their iPads over the summer. If students need their iPads fixed or looked at over the summer, they are encouraged to leave their iPads with the Help Desk after their exams.
Students not returning next school year must bring their iPads with the full case and charger to the Middle School library after their last class/exam.
All students should return textbooks, library books, and athletic uniforms before the last project/assessment block on Thursday, May 28.

Middle School (Grade 8)

Students must bring their iPads, including the full case and charger, to the Middle School library after their last class/exam on Thursday, May 28. Textbooks, library books, and athletic uniforms must be returned before the last project/assessment block on Thursday, May 28.

Upper School (Grades 9-11)

Textbook returns: Textbooks will be collected by faculty on the last day of class.
Laptops: Students in grades 9-11 will keep their laptops over the summer. If students need their laptops fixed over the summer, they are encouraged to leave their laptops with the Help Desk after exams. Students not returning next school year are required to return their laptops, cases, and chargers after their last exam. You can return them anytime to Mrs. Cadden in the front office or to Mr. Wigger at the helpdesk. We will have a sheet for you to sign off on all returned equipment.
Youndr pouches: All students must turn in their Youndr pouches to Mrs. Cadden in the Upper School Office after their last exam.
Library Books and Athletic Uniforms: All students should return library books and athletic uniforms before the last day of school on Friday, May 29.

Upper School (Grade 12)

Textbook Returns: Textbooks will be collected by faculty on the last day of class. All seniors should also return library books before May 15.
Youndr pouches: All seniors must turn in their Youndr pouches to Mrs. Cadden in the Upper School Office prior to May 15.
Athletic Uniforms: All athletic uniforms must be returned to coaches prior to May 15.
Laptops: Laptops, cases, and chargers must be returned by Thursday, May 21, to Mrs. Cadden in the front office or to Mr. Wigger at the helpdesk. We will have a sheet for students to sign off on all returned equipment. We have received questions about buying laptops. Unfortunately, we are not selling these laptops. The way these laptops are configured for Porter-Gaud and connected to school accounts makes it challenging. PG email/drive accounts will be deactivated on October 1. We wait until the fall to make sure school or personal email accounts are activated before deleting PG accounts. This should give students enough time to transfer files to another account.
