Weekly Updates

Week of April 18, 2024

Our Middle School students blasted off to space this week in the StarLab. They looked at the Milky Way, spotted constellations, and learned about planets in the Solar System. It was an out-of-this-world lesson!

MyPG User ID Update
To enhance the security of MyPG, our IT vendor (Blackbaud) is updating its user ID authentication process. These changes will enable an optimized and more intuitive sign-in experience. Please note some users will need to take one-time actions:

  • If you enable multi-factor authentication (MFA), you will be prompted to set up MFA again before your password can be migrated.
  • If you authenticate through Apple or Google, you will be prompted to reauthorize Blackbaud to access your name and email.

If you need assistance, please contact the Help Desk at 843-402-4700 or helpdesk@portergaud.edu

ERBs
Please mark your calendars for this year’s ERB testing. It is important that students attend school on these days, are well-rested, and have a good breakfast. Testing generally occurs in the morning, and there will be a few make-up opportunities if needed. The dates of the testing are:

  • 6th-8th Grade: April 29 - May 3
  • 5th Grade: May 6 - May 10

Class Trips
Itineraries and packing lists for class trips will be sent by the end of this week. The dates and locations for these trips are listed below, as well as links to emails with additional details. Please reach out to Dr. Wright at mwright@portergaud.edu with any questions.

Photo Request: 8th Grade Celebration
Our 8th Grade Celebration will take place on Wednesday, May 22 at 9 a.m. In preparation for this special event, please send your favorite photo of your child as a baby or toddler along with a photo of them from this year to jhawkins@portergaud.edu by Monday, April 29, so we can include them in our slide show.
