Life Insurance
Name Porter-Gaud Foundation as a primary or contingent beneficiary of your policy. Create a new life insurance policy with Porter-Gaud Foundation as the beneficiary or donate a paid-up policy of coverage you no longer need.
How to Make a Gift of Life Insurance
- Name Porter-Gaud Foundation as a beneficiary in whole or part of your life insurance policy by contacting your life insurance provider to request a beneficiary designation form.
- Name Porter-Gaud Foundation as owner and beneficiary of a life insurance policy. When the policy matures, the proceeds will pay to Porter-Gaud Foundation.

Benefit to Making a Gift of Life Insurance
- You create a long-term gift that won’t draw funds from your estate.
- Increase your ability to make a significant gift to Porter-Gard with modest premium payments.
- Receive a charitable income tax deduction where ownership of policy is transferred to Porter-Gaud Foundation. If policy is not paid-up, you may receive a deduction for annual premium payments if the Porter-Gaud Foundation owns the policy.
- Or you can name Porter-Gaud Foundation as the beneficiary of your life insurance policy to benefit the school at your passing.

Donor Advised Funds
Name Porter-Gaud Foundation as the beneficiary of your DAF. Distributions from a DAF can be made to the Porter-Gaud Foundation.
Your donor advised fund (DAF) can be used to distribute gifts to charities of your choosing. Through a DAF you can make gifts to Porter-Gaud during your lifetime and at the time of your death.
How to Make a Gift Through a Donor Advised Fund
- Establish a donor advised fund.
- Make annual recommendations on charitable gifts to Porter-Gaud Foundation from your DAF.
- Designate Porter-Gaud Foundation as a beneficiary of your DAF at the time of your death by contacting your DAF administrator and ask for a beneficiary designation form.
