Continually moving forward.

During the 2020 - 2021 school year, the Porter-Gaud Foundation raised funds for several important projects on campus.  We wanted to share some of the exciting, new donor-funded projects with you.

Lower School Reception Area

$17,500 - Infrastructure enhancements to the Lower School reception desk assist in preventing the spread of COVID-19 and in increasing visitor safety protocols.

Renken Outdoor Training Center

$92,000 - The ROTC will allow for increased fitness and training space on campus for both male and female athletes. The state-of-the-art center will have racks for strength training and be partially turfed for a multi use area.

Porter-Gaud Sports Medicine Center

$150,000 - Renovations allow our trainers to treat the whole athlete from a physical, mental, and emotional standpoint. In addition to increasing the capacity, new machines and equipment allow more athletes to be treated.

Beach Volleyball Court

$25,000 - Playing on a sand court creates resistance and promotes increased stamina and endurance, resulting in fewer injuries. The new sand court also allows PG to expand our program to include new players from varying skill levels.

Upper School Computers

$17,500 - Additional high spec windows laptops and VR headsets allow for more students to participate in hands-on experiential learning.

Middle School Library Refresh

$31,000 - Empowering learners is the primary focus of the renovated Olsen Library. Designed for creative project-based group learning, featuring colorful furniture, erase flipper tables, a genius bar, and mobile STEM stations.

Financial Aid/Scholarships

$500,000 - Scholarships and financial aid provide tuition assistance to many of our Cyclone families. Supporting educational access allows for increased diversity, equity, and inclusion among our students.

LS Basketball Resurfacing

$15,000 - Resurfacing of the LS basketball court with Versacourt provides consistent ball bounce, superior grip, and forgiveness for knees and joints.

Technology Upgrades

$85,000 - By upgrading old classroom projectors to high resolution touch screen displays, both the teacher and the student are provided a better interactive experience, keeping PG at the forefront of classroom technology.
