Scholarships
The Meredith Sallee Memorial Fund
In 2021 the Meredith Sallee Memorial Fund was established to ease the financial and emotional burdens faced by families dealing with a parental loss. Through your generous support, this fund provides Porter-Gaud students continued access to the complete PG experience without financial strain. To access the funds, families must demonstrate financial need after losing a parent while attending PG through completing the school’s standard financial aid process. The fund can contribute to all expenses related to the Porter-Gaud experience - tuition, uniforms, school sponsored trips, and athletics participation. The fund would not cover tuition costs beyond the demonstrated need as determined in the financial aid process.

CAPE Program
Child Abuse Prevention Education (CAPE) Program The Child Abuse Prevention Education (CAPE) program is powered by certified child experts and the Porter-Gaud School family of students, alumni, teachers, and administrators. CAPE’s mission is to reduce all forms of child abuse, including sexual abuse, by creating and distributing educational, positive and innovative content and material.
The CAPE Program Fund supports student work as community service in developing and distributing promotional materials. Our 2022 goal is to reach 7,000 middle school kids in the Charleston County area with the material to recognize abuse and who in their lives are “safe adults” to ask for help. 100% of CAPE donations go directly to the creation, development, and distribution of CAPE educational materials. CAPE has zero administrative cost given we are all volunteers. Visit the student-run CAPE website HERE.
Technology
Advancing the Classroom
Porter-Gaud is working to create an educational environment where technology enhances the learning process. We are actively raising funds to add better cameras, interactive screens, and better technology into each of our classrooms. Beyond the immediate needs brought on by COVID-19, these technologies will allow for a better distance learning experience, and enhances our ability to extend the classroom far beyond our campus.

Security
Keeping Everyone Safe
Porter-Gaud has been actively raising funds to increase the level of campus security. We have started adding glass partitions to our main offices to protect our front office staff. We look to hire additional security staff. We continue to increase the number of security cameras and keycard access panels, and will continue with our staff security training. These efforts ensure that our students, teachers, staff, and guests are as safe as possible while on campus.
