LS Playground and Classrooms

Recess offers time for our students to play, rest, imagine, imagine, become more physically fit, and socialize with friends. Our Lower School students deserve a safe playground where they can be active, expend energy to be able to focus on academics, and develop social and emotional skills. The power of play 

THE NEED 

+ Replace the 30 year-old playground that has out-lived its useful life
+ Create a safer, more engaging and fitness-rich play area for students in the Lower School
+ Add adequate drainage and materials that are more resistant to tidal flooding and erosion
+ Add a multi-use/soccer area for students of all ages

The functional design of a classroom and its furnishings directly impact our students' ability to focus and engage with their teachers, classmates, and coursework. It is where they spending their day growing, learning, and discovering. Having modern, interactive furnishings and technology in our Lower School classrooms will not only enhance the learning and student experience, but it will also create a greater sense of pride, purpose, and respect for the classroom,

+ Create a more collaborative and engaging environment for all 1st through 4th grade students 

+ Add state-of-the-art interactive display panels to all classrooms 

+ Renovate spaces with new flooring, ceiling and lights as needed
