Picture Retakes FridayJostens Photography will be in the lobby of Gwynette Auditorium on Friday, November 15, for picture retakes of students who were absent on picture day or would like to retake their yearbook picture. Please wear polo shirts and uniform bottoms and go to Gwynette during free periods, study halls, community time, or lunch between 9:15-3:30. Semester SchoolsAny 10th or 9th-grade students that might have an interest in applying to attend a semester school such as the School for Ethics and Global Leadership, the Alzar School, or any other semester school must attend the Semester School Lunch and Learn on Monday, November 18th. Please complete the sign-up form linked below to register for this lunch and learn. The School for Ethics and Global Leadership will present at this lunch and learn. Peer Leadership Lunch TuesdayWe will have our next Peer Leadership lunch on Tuesday. 9th Graders should grab your lunch and then head to your advisory classroom. If your peer leaders are changing the location, they will let you know. Approved Snack List ReminderWe are "nut aware" campus and students should not bring in food or candy with nuts, peanut butter, tree nuts, etc to give out to others. Please see the Approved Snack list for appropriate items. Each conference provides a unique chance to engage in meaningful conversations, develop leadership skills, and make a positive impact within and beyond our school community—all at no cost to you. Advisory Pop Tab CompetitionThe advisory pop tab competition is back! This school year there will be two winners--one per semester-- and the advisory that has collected the most pop tabs by December will earn their reward. These pop tabs will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House, which will then be recycled in exchange for money. This raises thousands of dollars for the RMDH each year! The Ronald McDonald House provides economic aid and housing for families with critically ill children. If you have any questions feel free to contact Jane McClary. Thank you! Junior College Night Wednesday & College VisitsJunior College Night is Wednesday, November 13th at 7 p.m. We have panelists from Clemson University, Duke University, and Sewanee: The University of the South. These schools represent three different kinds of colleges with three different methods for shaping an incoming class. Monday - Bouquets of Cheer immediately after school for Veterans Day. Meet outside Ms. Tate's office immediately after school to write thank you letters to Veterans. Email Emmaline, Bella, or Rory with any questions. Wednesday - WINGS from 3:45-4:30 p.m. Email Mirabelle or Isabelle with questions. Thursday - Charitable Snack Sale for One80Place at 11:20 a.m. outside Ms. Tate's office. Email Madison or Charlotte with questions. Spring Musical AuditionsIt is time to prepare for auditions for Mamma Mia. We will audition in the auditorium on Wednesday, November 20th immediately after school. If you want to be in the ensemble, you do not need to sing for us, just come to the auditorium after school on Wednesday and fill out a form. Anyone interested in a part, will need to sing one of the attached songs. If you would like to schedule a time to practice with the accompanist, please email Coach Knight. The show is February 28- March 2nd. If you have a conflict with those dates, do not audition for a leading role. It is encouraged to memorize the lyrics so that you can perform during your audition. National Signing Day WednesdayWe will celebrate Brett Jones and Matt Fortson on National Signing Day on Wednesday, November 13 at 1:20 p.m. in the Upper School Library.

Boys Soccer Meeting TuesdayIf you are interested in trying out for Varsity Boys Soccer this spring, there will be an interest meeting in the Health Classroom on Tuesday, 11/12 from 7:30 a.m.- 8 a.m. Track Meeting ThursdayThere will be an informational meeting for the 2025 Track and Field teams next Thursday, November 14, at 3:30 p.m. in the Health Classroom. At this meeting you will sign up to be on the roster, Coach Knight will do coaching introductions, and we will discuss information and meet schedules for our upcoming season. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please email Coach Knight so that he can add you to the roster so that you receive all communications. Detention this WeekStudents with detentions may serve on Monday from 3:25 - 3:55, Tuesday from 7:45 - 8:15, and Thursday from 3:25 - 3:55.
