Lessons and Carols - SaturdayWe are hosting our 61st Annual Festival of Lessons and Carols at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, at the Church of the Holy Communion - the founding parish of our school. The service includes choirs from our Lower, Middle, and Upper School divisions and follows the rubric of the Festival of Lessons and Carols Through a rich interplay of Word and music we in this service celebrate the loving purposes of God as we prepare our hearts and minds during the Advent season for the coming of Jesus Christ. Santa Debate FridayThe Honors Philosophy class will hold its annual philosophical debate as to the Peer Leadership Lunch TuesdayOur final peer leadership lunch of the semester will be on Tuesday. 9th-grade students should grab your lunch and then head to your advisory classroom. If you peer leaders are changing the location, they will let you know. The 12th & 9th grade will be let into the cafeteria first on Tuesday. Advisory Pop Tab Competition Ends WednesdayThe pop tab competition ends on December 11th, so don't forget to bring as many pop tabs as you can for your advisory! Meet outside of Ms. Tate's office on Wednesday the 11th at 3:20 p.m. to help collect the advisories pop tab bags for one service hour! Service this WeekALL WEEK - Toy drive collection! Sporting equipment, gift cards, stocking stuffers, board games, new winter clothing accessories, handheld electronics, and toys are most wanted! Email Grayer, Elizabeth, or Ava with any questions. Wednesday - Meet outside of Ms. Tate's office on Wednesday the 11th at 3:20 p.m. to help collect the advisories pop tab bags for one service hour! Wednesday - Caroling, cookies, and games at Canterbury House from 3:45-4:30 p.m. Email Carter, Harper, or Paige with any questions. Thursday - Charitable Bake Sale for Carolina Youth Development Center so they can purchase holiday gift cards for teens in their care. Email Grayson, Evie, or Zoe with any questions. Thursday - Holiday cards and treat bags for the residents at Joseph Floyd Manor at lunch. Stop by the table at the Rev Statue to help! Friday - Help us move and sort all the toys immediately after the Holiday Assembly! In the Upper School library! Seniors Attending 1st grade play preview ThursdayThe First Grade of Porter-Gaud has invited the Class of 2025 to a showing of "The Simple Gifts of Christmas" on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 1:20- 2:00 p.m. ASMA Competition this weekThe 2nd of 6 total contests in our ASMA competition is this week! As of right now, our highest score is 4 points and you can earn up to 7 points on each contest. There are three opportunities to take the contest this week!
