Step 2: Complete and Submit Parent Financial Statement (PFS)
Note: Once you collect your financial documents, please plan on this process taking a couple of hours.
1) Visit the Family Portal to create your Parents Financial Statement (PFS). Porter-Gaud's SSS code is 5848.
2) Create your PFS Online account with your email address and a password. If you applied for financial aid last year, simply login to the PFS Online as a Returning Family, using the email address and password you set up last year. Once your PFS is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn from the SSS system.
3) Begin a PFS for Academic Year 2023-2024. You can log out of the PFS Online at any time, then return later to complete it.
4) After you have clicked submit, you will be taken to a secure payment screen. Please make your secure payment of $60. It is non-refundable. Once your PFS is submitted, it cannot be withdrawn from the SSS system. You can, however, login and update your PFS at any time.
STEP 3: SUBMIT DOCUMENTATON
After submitting and paying for your PFS, upload your documents using the "My Documents" tab on the SSS website. A list of commonly required documents is provided. If you do not have the required documents, please contact the Director of Financial Aid for a list of possible substitutions. PLEASE REDACT ALL SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS BEFORE UPLOADING.
The Financial aid Committee will begin its review of completed applications and make award decisions for the 2023-2024 academic year for returning students beginning in late December 2022 and for new students beginning in early March 2023.
IMPORTANT: A complete application consists of three parts: 1) the online PFS, and 2) your most current federal income tax return (include all tax form schedules and W-2’s.) and 3) any other requested documents.
