Alumni
Like the oaks by the Ashley, our community roots run deep and wide. When you leave Porter-Gaud, you enter a robust network. Our alumni remain engaged through the giving of their time, talent, and treasure. Our alumni office hosts events over the year in cities around the United States where we have alumni. Please be on the lookout for invitations and follow us online to be sure you don't miss out on the fun!
In 1867, as Charleston lay in ruins after the Civil War, The Reverend Dr. Anthony Toomer Porter had a vision to start a school to educate the children of the Lowcountry. In the 152 years since he brought his vision to life, Porter-Gaud has become a pillar of education in the Holy City. Our graduates are leaders in many different fields in their respective communities around the world. We are looking forward and beyond the Lowcountry to be one of the leading independent schools in the Southeast.
