Highlight of the Week from Abbie Panuccio, Middle School Chaplain
This week, our Middle School Joint Chapel service was focused on Isaiah 58:9-12 and was centered around the theme of service. We laughed at the reality that we all have days where we are simply turtles stuck on our backs, helpless, and in need of a friend to flip us over (click here to view a video that illustrates this point). We also discussed that true service is centered on helping and allowing others to reach their God-given potential, like turtles flipping each other over so they can run freely together. I pray our campus continually grows as a well-watered garden, which dwells in the hearts of all who enter and is life-giving to all those around us.

Questions for the Chaplains
The chaplain team regularly receives all sorts of questions from the students, families, and faculty of our PG community. These questions are sometimes theological, sometimes pastoral, sometimes serious, sometimes comical, and always more than welcome! A Prayer for Schools as We Begin the New Year
“Almighty God, by your gift alone we come to wisdom and true understanding: Look with favor, we pray, on our universities, colleges, and schools, especially the Porter-Gaud community, that knowledge may be increased among us, and wholesome learning flourish and abound. Bless those who teach and those who learn; and grant that in humility of heart they may ever look to you, the fountain of all wisdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen."
