Turning Your Child’s Setbacks into Success
Every child messes up, sometimes in ways that are just irritating, and sometimes in ways that could ruin their future. But what every adolescent setback has in common for our kids is the silver lining of a chance for character building and developing more grit—if we help them process their challenge well.

Based on her latest book, Eight Setbacks That Can Make a Child a Success, Michelle will offer specific and unexpected advice about what to say, what not to say, and what to do to help children in eight categories of tense situations. Parents and caregivers will leave with an unfussy, three-step plan for managing setbacks, and knowing what actions they and their child should each take responsibility for when faced with a problem.

With empathy, insight, and optimism, Michelle Icard’s research ensures that a child’s mistake or rebellion doesn’t become the headline of their childhood but instead becomes a launch pad to a better future.
