The Porter-Gaud Parent Association presents the 2025 Spring Party. This premier social event promises active fun for the whole community. Whether you want to compete in the Pickleball Tournament hosted by Short Court Sports, battle it out on a division organized Kickball Team or simply socialize and spectate, this event will deliver. We invite all adults to join us on March 22, 2025 at 4 p.m. at the Porter-Gaud Stadium for an evening of recreation, competition and entertainment.

Tickets are on sale! $60 per person.

Battle it out in a Pickleball Tournament presented by Short Court. A sign-up link will appear after purchasing your event ticket below. Register early, participation is limited to the first 72 registrants or 36 teams. Participants will have an opportunity to indicate a preferred partner when registering. All registered participants will be contacted by Short Court with more tournament information closer to the event.

Represent your child’s division on a Kickball Team! The Division Teams will face an opponent early and then advance to the winner or loser bracket. Each team is guaranteed two match-ups. After you purchase your event tickets, look for an email with links to sign up for an activity! If you register for Kickball, a team captain will reach out to you closer to the event with all relevant information.

This event will feature Pizza from the Coastal Crust food truck and Americana Fare from Rocket Burger. Wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.

Purchase tickets to the event early ($60 per person)! Participation in Pickleball and Kickball is limited, and we anticipate will fill up. Spectator fun is boundless! Don’t miss the chance to cheer on fellow parents and caregivers and socialize!

Once payment is processed, an email receipt will be sent to you with links to register for either Pickleball or Kickball. Participants may only choose one activity due to scheduling limitations. Don’t miss this final step to secure your spot in the action.


 

Event Liability Disclaimer and Release
In consideration of being allowed to register for, and participate in, an event, activity, or experience (“Event”), I hereby waive, release from liability, assume all risks, and covenant not to sue the Porter-Gaud School (“PG”), or their respective members at Porter-Gaud Parent Association (PGPA, employees, board members, agents, or volunteers (the “PG Parties") for any expense, loss, damage, personal injury (including loss of life, disability, or serious harm), property damage or theft, negligence, or actions (each, a “Loss”) resulting from or arising in connection with my travel to, attendance at, or participation in the Event and any related activities unless said Loss is caused by the sole, gross negligence of PG. I agree that this waiver and release shall bind me and my personal representatives, shall be enforceable to the fullest and broadest extent of the law, and, if any portion is held invalid, the remainder should continue in full legal force and effect. I am an adult of sound mind and capable of entering into this waiver. I have read its terms and fully understand and agree to the provisions herein. I agree that this waiver shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of South Carolina and enforced only in courts in the State of Carolina. After an opportunity to consult with an attorney of my own selection, I voluntarily consent to this waiver.

I understand and am aware that my participation in the Event involves risk, including, but not limited to, travel, physical activity, locales where public health and safety may be at risk, or activities that involve risk that I create for others or others may create for me. These risks may lead to a Loss, and I nonetheless choose to participate in the Event. I am also aware that there are risks that I may not have considered, yet I waive my right to any claims that may occur from these unconsidered risks, and I choose to participate in the Event. I acknowledge that no promises, representations, or affirmations of fact were made to me by PG or its representatives concerning the safety or danger associated with participating in any activity or interaction related to or associated with the Event.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the PG/PG Parties from any loss, liability, damages, or costs the PG/PG Parties may incur, whether caused by negligence, active or passive, or otherwise, in connection with my participation in the Event.
